Making an Appointment
Appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery. We offer telephone and face to face appointments, and you can also visit our reception or book via our website, HERE. Please note, we have our telephone number withheld when phoning. If your home phone does not accept withheld numbers we cannot call you, therefore please inform us of your mobile number.
Urgent cases are given priority and emergencies will always be seen on the day. Please ask for a same-day appointment if you are experiencing new, severe or unusual pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, or a rash that is worrying you (particularly in children). We generally feel sick babies should also be seen on the day.
We do our best to see patients on time, however, clinics can run late due to unexpected and complex problems. Therefore, we ask you to bear with us and be understanding if this is the case. When booking appointments, we cannot always foresee which patients will need more time, and one day you may need extra time for your problem or concerns. If you have waited more than 30 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, please speak to the reception team and they will advise you as necessary.
Please note: Due to scheduling and demand, it is not possible to see patients that arrive late for their appointments.

You can book your own appointments online to avoid the rush on the telephones or at reception. Before booking for the first time, you will need to come to the surgery *reception to get a username and password. You will need to bring 2 forms of ID (preferably photographic and proof of your current address) with you. Once you have done that, click on the link above and follow the instructions.

Telephone consultations with the doctor can also be booked in the same way. It is often possible to sort out queries by phone, and this may save you a trip to the surgery.
Appointment slots are normally ten minutes. If you think you will require longer, please tell the receptionist when you book. Please notify the surgery as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment as we can see someone else in your absence.

We use SMS messaging to confirm/remind you of, and advise if you do not attend, your booked appointment with any of our clinicians. We also occasionally use SMS messaging to advise you to make an appointment with a doctor or nurse, and to inform you of results and if a recall is due if you have a chronic disease.
Consent is automatically assumed, but you can opt-out of this by contacting our reception desk and informing them that you wish to dissent the SMS messaging service.
Most patients find this service useful, but please make sure we have your correct mobile number. It is important that we always have your up to date contact details, in case of an emergency or if we need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.
