We open on a Saturday Morning from 8.30am - 11.30am for booked appointments only. With a GP or a Nurse.
We have an allocated emergency appointment surgery which will be available to patients (on the day) who need to be seen by a doctor urgently.
You need to call as close to 8.00am as possible for an emergency morning appointment or as close to 1.30pm as possible for an afternoon appointment.
Repeat prescriptionsPlease note, in keeping with the West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (WSCCG) policy, your repeat prescription will from now on be issued for ONE MONTH at a time. This is a National requirement proven to reduce waste on a very large scale.

There are two pharmacies in Haverhill which open for 100 hours a week, one at Tesco's supermarket and one in the surgery building. Both supply medication to any patient, including those registered at the surgery.
There are four other dispensing chemists in Haverhill -
Sainsburys pharmacy is inside Sainsburys supermarket, Well Pharmacy is on Mill Road near the Drabbet Smock, David Holland chemist is next door to the Clements Surgery and Boots is on the High Street. Opening hours vary and may be found under the heading marked pharmacy, opposite.

Liz offers a wide range of women's health services.
We are fortunate enough to have a fantastic, highly skilled and professional nursing team at Christmas Maltings, many of whom have been with us for many years. We work as a team and support one another, with joint educational meetings and joint working for things like minor surgery and coil fittings.
Nina is our Lead Nurse
Amanda offers a full range of practice nursing services. She has a Diploma in diabetes care, which is her area of special interest. Amanda generally has surgeries on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Health Practitioners/ECPs (Emergency Care Practitioners) are health practitioners trained in acute and minor illnesses but not mental health issues. They are able to prescribe medications, request investigations ie blood tests/x-rays, refer patients to hospital as appropriate.
Musculoskeletal Practitioners (physiotherapists)
We are able to offer musculoskeletal practitioner appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. They are able to see patients who present for the first time with joint pains ie back, hip, knee, shoulder, neck etc. They are able to see and treat patients, as well as refer for investigations (x-rays/scans) and, if appropriate, refer to the local physiotherapy team and/or hospital.
Teresa is our health care assistant she offers health checks, new patient checks, and blood tests and assist the doctors with minor surgery. Appointments are available every weekday, although the last collection of samples from the surgery to the West Suffolk labs for analysis is around 3.30pm so blood tests are generally done before this time.
